Group chats and channels

Article 11 of 22 in Using InteractInk

Beyond one-on-one DMs, InteractInk supports two different ways to talk with more than one person at once, and they're built for slightly different purposes.

Group chats are a private conversation with several people, where everyone in the group can post and reply freely. Create one from the message tab by selecting multiple recipients at once. You can give the group a name and a group photo from its settings afterward, and any member is free to leave the conversation at any time without needing anyone's permission.

Channels work more like a broadcast, typically used by a Community or an admin to post updates out to a much larger audience rather than hold a back-and-forth conversation. Channels can be given a name, an avatar, and a description, and are managed by whoever created them. Both formats support the same rich media as regular one-on-one chats — images, GIFs, voice notes, and read receipts all work the same way.
