Appealing a suspension

Article 8 of 10 in Rules and policies

If you believe a removal or suspension applied to your account was a mistake, you're entitled to appeal it rather than simply accepting the decision.

  • Open the notice explaining the action taken on your account — it includes an Appeal option directly within it.
  • Explain, as clearly and specifically as you can, exactly why you believe the original decision was incorrect.
  • Submit your appeal and wait for a human review of your case.

Appeals are deliberately not decided by the same automated process that flagged the original action in the first place — a real person reviews them. They're handled as promptly as possible given the volume coming in, though response times can naturally vary depending on how complex the situation is. Submitting several duplicate appeals for the exact same action doesn't speed up the review process at all, and can actually slow things down by adding clutter to the queue, so one clear, detailed appeal is far more effective than many short repeated ones.
