Intellectual property and trademark

Article 9 of 10 in Rules and policies

Trademark complaints work differently from copyright complaints on InteractInk: they're specifically about someone using a brand name, logo, or likeness in a way that could genuinely confuse other people about who they're really dealing with — for example, an account adopting a real company's branding in order to pretend it's that company's official presence on the platform.

If you believe your trademark is being misused in this way, reach out through the Contact page with the details of the specific account or post in question, along with a clear description of your trademark rights and how they're being infringed. Each report is reviewed individually against the actual facts of the case, since not every use of a brand name — commentary, criticism, or fan content, for instance — counts as the kind of confusing misuse that trademark policy is meant to address.
