About Communities

Communities are focused spaces built around a specific topic, fandom, or interest — smaller boards that sit alongside your main feed rather than replacing it.

Anyone can browse a public Community's posts without joining, but you'll need to actually join in order to post or reply inside one. Once you're a member, posts from that Community can start appearing in your For You feed alongside your regular content, and you'll get a dedicated feed for each Community you've joined, accessible from the Communities tab in your sidebar. Some Communities are moderated more actively than the main site as a whole, with their own pinned rules set by the people who created and run them — it's worth a quick read through those before you start posting, since expectations can vary noticeably from one Community to the next.
