Public and private accounts
By default, InteractInk accounts are public, which means anyone can view your posts and profile without needing to follow you first, and your content can appear in search results and be reposted freely.
Switching to a private account changes that: only followers you've approved can see your posts, and anyone who wants to follow you going forward has to send a request that you personally review and approve before they get access. You can toggle this at any time from Settings → Privacy, and the change takes effect immediately. It's worth keeping in mind, though, that going private only protects your posts from that point forward — it isn't retroactive. Anything you've already posted publicly that someone reposted, quoted, or simply screenshotted before you switched remains out there exactly as it was, since there's no way to reach into someone else's copy of that content after the fact.
