Privacy Policy

Last updated August 11, 2026.

This page explains what information InteractInk collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what say you have over it. We've tried to write it in plain language instead of dense legal boilerplate — if anything is unclear, contact us and we'll clarify it.

What we collect

We only collect what's needed to run the site:

  • Email address — used to create and secure your account, and to contact you about account-related matters (password resets, security notices).
  • Username and password — your username is public and shown on your profile and posts. Your password is never stored in plain text; it's hashed by our authentication provider before it ever reaches our database.
  • Uploaded images and video — anything you upload as a post, reply, or profile/banner picture. These are stored so they can be displayed back to you and other users.
  • Profile information you add — display name, bio, and any other optional profile fields you choose to fill in.
  • IP address — logged briefly by our hosting and database providers as part of normal request handling (this is standard web infrastructure behavior, not something we actively query or build profiles from).
  • Cookies / local storage — used to keep you signed in, remember your theme and language preference, and keep the site working the way you left it. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

Why we collect it

Every piece of data above exists to make the site work: authenticating you, letting you post and browse, keeping your account secure, and remembering your preferences. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

How long we keep it

Account data, posts, and uploaded media are kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete a post, reply, or your account, the underlying record is removed from our live database — it may briefly persist in backups for a short period before those backups are rotated out, but it's no longer shown anywhere on the site.

Third-party services we use

InteractInk is a small, static site with no separate backend server of its own. To run it, we rely on a short list of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel — hosts the site itself and handles incoming web requests.
  • Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider. Your account, posts, and uploaded media all live here.
  • jsDelivr — a content delivery network we load one JavaScript library from (the Supabase client library). Loading it can expose your IP address to jsDelivr the same way any web request does.

We do not currently use any analytics or advertising services. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.

Your rights

You can:

  • Access your data — most of it is already visible to you in your account (profile, posts, settings). You can request a full export by emailing us.
  • Correct your data — update your profile, email, or password at any time from Settings.
  • Delete your data — delete individual posts/replies yourself, or request full account deletion by emailing us. Account deletion removes your profile, posts, and uploaded media from the live site.

To make an access or deletion request, email us at michaelfuacci@gmail.com. We'll respond as promptly as we can.

Children's privacy

InteractInk is not directed at children, and account holders must meet the minimum age required to consent to online services in their country. We don't knowingly collect data from children under that age.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of InteractInk after a change means you accept the updated policy.
