Creating and voting in polls

Polls are a built-in way to ask your followers a question with a fixed, limited set of possible answers, rather than leaving replies open-ended.

To create one: start a new post and select the poll icon in the composer. Add your question along with between two and four answer options, then set how long the poll should stay open before it automatically closes.

To vote: tap any option to cast your vote. Once you've voted, you'll immediately see the live percentage breakdown for every option, and your own selection stays visibly marked so you can tell what you picked. Votes are anonymous by design — the poll's creator can see the overall results and totals, but never who picked which specific option, so you can vote honestly without worrying about it being traced back to you.
